Dear Elon, We are writing to bring to your attention a site gifted for hosting green industrial projects, such as a new Tesla GIGAFACTORY. We live in Genoa and our neighborhood has been hosting a steel plant since the ’50s, employing up to 15k ftes but nowadays only around 0,8k ftes, with no sign of recovery. Currently, the owner is the financially troubled “Acciaierie d’Italia” and, along with the Italian Govt, are trying to sell the company at an auction. The area is large around 1,2 kmq, sunny and perfectly located in the middle of the Mediterranean sea.
It has to offer: PRIVATE WHARF – Bordering AIRPORT – Crossing RAILWAYS – Easy access to Italian and European HIGHWAY NETWORK – SHIPYARD of Fincantieri, just 600 meters eastward – PORT OF PRA’, managed by SINGAPORE PORT AUTHORITY (PSA International Ltd) located less than 6km westward -NEW BREAKWATER (under construction), only 200meters eastward
We don’t believe there’s a more convenient location in Europe, for your industrial projects. As you can see, we do believe in the PINBY mindset rather than the NIMBY, whereas establishment has been only able to offer this logistical gem to steel business, which seems has been dead since the 80s’.

Caro Elon,
Scriviamo per portare alla vostra attenzione un sito idoneo ad ospitare progetti industriali green, come una nuova Tesla GIGAFACTORY. Viviamo a Genova e il nostro quartiere ospita uno stabilimento siderurgico dagli anni ’50, impiegando fino a 15.000 persone ma oggigiorno solo circa 800 persone, senza alcun segno di recupero.
Attualmente il proprietario è l’Acciaierie d’Italia economicamente in difficoltà e, insieme al Governo Italiano, stanno cercando di vendere la società ad un’asta.
L’area è ampia circa 1,2 kmq, soleggiata e perfettamente situata in mezzo al mar Mediterraneo e offre:
PORTO PRIVATO AEROPORTO confinante Attraversamento FERROVIARIO Facile accesso alla RETE AUTOSTRADALE italiana ed europea CANTIERE NAVALE di Fincantieri, appena 600 metri ad est PORTO DI PRA’, gestito da SINGAPORE PORT AUTORITY (PSA International Ltd) situata a meno di 6 km verso ovest NUOVO BREAKWATER (diga in costruzione), a soli 200 metri verso est
Non crediamo ci sia una location più conveniente in Europa, per i vostri progetti industriali. Come potete vedere, crediamo nella mentalità PINBY (in casa nostra, ndr) piuttosto che nel NIMBY (non in casa nostra, ndr), mentre l’establishment ha potuto offrire questo gioiello logistico solo al business dell’acciaio, che sembra morto dagli anni ’80.
